After nourishing Italian breakfast, we‘ll be ready for our first day of riding – how exciting?! We’ll guide you through some gentle cycling to get acquainted with your bike, the trails, and the Tuscan air, before the ascent towards Monte Bargiglio. This is a gentle and gradual 15 km climb that will allow us to admire the beautiful backdrop of forests and rolling hills as we ascend. At the top, we’ll be sure to stop to admire the panoramic views over Tuscany’s forests and rolling hills, before descending down towards the famous Ponte del Diavolo (The Devil’s Bridge). Here, we’ll stop to enjoy lunch and a tasting of local Tuscan wines at one of our favourite local stops. With full stomachs, we’ll slowly ride the remaining couple of kilometres back to the Agriturismo, where we’ll relax and enjoy a lovely homemade dinner. Meals included: Breakfast, Wine Tasting, Dinner Cycling: distance 35 km, elevation 800 metres

Day 3: the Pizzorne Plateau and Fine Dining

To start the day, we will face a nice climb of about 18 km on a mix of gravel and asphalt, where along the way we’ll admire one of Tuscany’s treasures – the Pizzorne Plateau. We’ll climb to the top of the Trebbio Pass and turn right towards Pizzorne, where we’ll stop for a relaxing and nourishing Tuscan lunch. Our descent back towards our home base will provide us with a splendid view of the Val di Lima and its rolling, mountainous landscape. After a nourishing breakfast, we’ll set off towards Dante Alighieri’s country – where the story tells us that in the 14th century, he took inspiration from the Orrido di Botri Nature Reserve for his piece “Inferno” (Hell). After around 15 km of gentle climbing, we’ll reach the Reserve and experience its beautiful, lush greenery and crystal clear canyon waters. Here we’ll also stop to enjoy lunch, before making our way back towards Bagni di Lucca, passing through some of the 23 hamlets nestled in the hills, before making it back to enjoy some quality relaxation time at the Agriturismo. Along the southern portion of the Pizzorne Mountain we’ll be lucky enough to take in the amazing views over the Lucchesia plain. If the views aren’t enough to be worth the trip, then lunch and a wine tasting certainly will be! We’ll enjoy a relaxing break at an authentically Lucchese winery, enjoying only the best in local produce and quality Tuscan wine. This will be the toughest climb of the trip, as we make our way up to Foce a Giovo, but we promise the views will make it all worthwhile! After reaching Foce a Giovo at an altitude of 1627m, we’ll stop at the nearby Casentini Refuge for a lovely homemade Tuscan lunch, before returning back for a relaxing and sociable evening back at our Agriturismo. Day 7: Experience Tuscany on Foot!

Time to give your legs some rest – today we’re trading our bikes for walking shoes! Not far from Bagni di Lucca is Prato Fiorito, one of the most enchanting places in Tuscany. On its summit, rich in flowers and even rare herbs, it is possible to enjoy unparalleled views from the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines to the Apuan Alps and from Monte Pisano to the sea and the islands of the Tuscan Archipelago. Local folklore speaks of Prato Fiorito as a place where witches come, travelling up from the Devil’s Bridge. Our hike starts from San Cassiano di Controni where we will go up to the beautiful paths of Prato Fiorito through the Alta Via dei Pastori, used in the past by local shepherds to reach pastures, chestnut groves and woods located on the mountainside. After a peaceful walk on the paths of the Val di Lima we will enjoy a traditional Tuscan group lunch and a restful afternoon back at the Agriturismo. Meals included: Breakfast, Dinner Walking Distance: 13 km, elevation 800 metres

Day 8: Swap the Pedals for a Paddle!

We have almost reached the end of our experience in Tuscany, but the surprises are not over. Today we’ll enjoy the beauty of Tuscany in a different way – with some rafting in the morning, followed by an afternoon spent at Canyon Park, an adventure park well known for their ziplining and paddleboarding. Amongst this, we will be sure to enjoy the tastes of Tuscany, visiting local trattorias for lunch and dinner. Adventure, local produce and maybe even a glass or two of wine – what more could we want? Meals included: Breakfast, Dinner Cycling Distance: 0 km
